Just got shut down by the 5-0 for trying to swing after dark. Feeling pretty bad ass.
I’m on shore leave for the weekend, you got any plans?
This photo reminds me of something.
When I was growing up I had this stuffed bear in a sailor suit that my Dad bought me at the Army and Navy store. I cleverly named him “Sailor Bear” and I took him everywhere with me for years. My Dad wasn’t usually the toy buyer which made it all the more special.

: When a Friend Dies, Hate Blue Sky -
When a friend dies,
take apart all of the things that don’t work
in a house,
and try to make them work.
Get out the phillips-head and the flat-head,
pull out some pliers
and a hammer.
When a friend dies,
go for the things that don’t work
and work on them until they do
or don’t work.
Fix them…
I always say this.

This is a good thing to remind yourself, but sometimes not quite enough to keep from feeling defeated.
